Prof.Prof. Hui Xiong, University of Minnesota, United StatesHe is currently a Distinguished Professor at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, where he received the 2018 Ram Charan Management Practice Award as the Grand Prix winner from the Harvard Business Review, RBS Dean's Research Professorship (2016), two-year early promotion/tenure (2009), the Rutgers University Board of Trustees Research Fellowship for Scholarly Excellence (2009), the ICDM-2011 Best Research Paper Award (2011), the Junior Faculty Teaching Excellence Award (2007), Dean's Award for Meritorious Research (2010, 2011, 2013, 2015) at Rutgers Business School, the 2017 IEEE ICDM Outstanding Service Award (2017), and the AAAI-2021 Best Paper Award (2021). Dr. Xiong is also a Distinguished Guest Professor (Grand Master Chair Professor) at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). For his outstanding contributions to data mining and mobile computing, he was elected an ACM Distinguished Scientist in 2014, an IEEE Fellow and an AAAS Fellow in 2020. Prof. Juan M. Corchado, University of Salamanca, SpainJuan Manuel Corchado was born in Salamanca, Spain, in May 1971. He received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Salamanca and the Ph.D. degree in artificial intelligence from the University of the West of Scotland. He was the Vice-Rector of Research and Technology Transfer from 2013 to 2017 and the Director of Science Park with the University of Salamanca. He was the Dean of the Faculty of Science twice. He leads the renowned Bioinformatics, Intelligent Systems and Educational Technology (BISITE) Research Group in 2000. He is curently the Director of the IoT Digital Innovation Hub, the President of the AIR Institute, the Project Leader in the DIGIS3 Consortium, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the AstraZeneca Foundation. He has been a Visiting Professor with the Osaka Institute of Technology since January 2015, a Visiting Professor with Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, and has been a member of the Advisory Group on Online Terrorist Propaganda, European Counter Terrorism Centre (EUROPOL). He is also a Professor with the University of Salamanca. He has been the President of the IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society, and an Academic Coordinator of the University Institute for Research in Art and Animation Technology, University of Salamanca, and a Researcher with the University of Paisley, U.K., University of Vigo, Spain, and the Plymouth Marine Laboratory (UK). He also combines all his activity with the direction of master’s programmes in security, digital animation, the Internet of Things, 3D design and printing, digital transformation, blockchain, and smart cities & intelligent buildings with the University of Salamanca and his work as the Editor-in-Chief of the Advances in Distributed Computing and Artificial Intelligence Journal (ADCAIJ), Oriental Journal of Computer Science and Technology (OJCST), or Electronics (MDPI) (Computer Science & Engineering Section). He mainly works on projects related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, the IoT, fog computing, edge computing, smart cities, smart grids, and sentiment analysis. |
